The Way of Perfection, Book Study

  1. Chapter two verse five caught my attention when it talks about poverty of spirit, I did not understand that virtue well, the study of this chapter helped me understand what poverty of spirit is.!
    The study of this book is very good and understandable.

    Thank you Luz for being the first one to post here. I liked in the Introduction on pages 23-25 where the prayer of recollection is discussed - we had read about this somewhere before, but I don't think I understood it until now. I especially liked where Fr. Kavanaugh said St. Teresa used the example of the Our Father because "vocal prayer doesn't impede contemplation" and must be joined to mental prayer. Also, I liked reading that God is near and never takes His eyes off of us.
